@BRIDGEGOOD is a 501(c)3 non-profit based in Oakland’s Jack London Square. Their mission is to provide equitable access and design resources for students looking to pursue a design career in tech. @BRIDGEGOOD aims to train 40,000 student designers by 2030, specifically focusing on launching careers for designers of color in fields including User Experience (UX), User Interface (UI), Product Design, and Visual Design. I was brought on as the Design Coordinator for their annual fundraiser.
Project Objectives:
Design compelling promotional materials to drive ticket sales and generate interest in the event.
Lead vendor outreach to local restaurant, curating diverse menu options to accommodate our budget for over 100 guests with varying dietary needs.
Lead outreach to over 20 partner companies to secure raffle donations, and manage the process from initial outreach to delivery and post-event acknowledgements.
I worked alongside, Shaun Tai, Executive Director, and Elisa Feng, Program Manager, to ensure attendance and smooth execution of the event.
Responsible for creating deadlines for my deliverables to the event and presented bi-weekly updates to Shaun and Elisa regarding food, donations, and decor.
Results & Impact:
To evaluate the efficacy of the current event promotion design, Shaun and I conducted an A/B testing initiative, comparing the existing design with my newly crafted alternative on BRIDGEGOOD’s separate Instagram accounts.
The outcomes revealed a substantial 70% surge in attendee registrations, due to the implementation of the new design.
